Mexican black beans have a dense meaty texture and are high in protein, carbohydrates and fiber content. They add colour and texture variation to a dish as well as a satisfying savoriness.
These beans are brined with onion, garlic, tomato paste and jalapeno pepper for extra flavour.
Whole black beans can be used as a filling for burritos and tacos. May also be used in soups, stews or salads.
Refrigerate after opening in a sealed container and use within 4 weeks.
